For the second time in less than two weeks, Sycamore came onto Kaneland’s home field and came away with a victory on penalty kicks after a scoreless regulation, this time giving the Spartans a regional title behind strong play in goal from Tayla Brannstrom.
Aidan Wyzard and Dylan Hodges each won four events, while Eli Crome qualified in three to help lead Sycamore to a sectional title. Dale Johnson qualified in two distance events for Sterling, and 11 1,600 runners qualified.
